Valentine’s Day Thoughts

Valentine’s Day Thoughts

I have always loved Valentine’s Day. I think it is such a fun day to celebrate not just romantic love, but just love in general. Being that my love language is gift giving, this is really another day for me to shine! I have had a Valentine’s date with my husband for the past 11 years but I have many friends who despise this day because they do not have a date. I think it’s a great day to love on yourself, and the people who love you!

One of my favorite things to do is make it a special day for my kiddos. We homeschool so that means no fun Valentine’s Day party with cards and candy.  I have made it a tradition to get them a small token of my love each year just to make the day a little brighter. Maybe you don’t have kids, but there is that one coworker, or even a friend that you could surprise with a small token of your affection. On a day intended to spread love, what could warm your heart more than making someone else’s day better!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Welcome William

Welcome William

WilliamMiniPoodle.jpgSo we got a new addition to our little familia this year, his name is William and he is a miniature poodle. I am not a dog person. I am selfish and I have my hands full with my kids as it is. So what better way to throw a wrench in what little sanity I had then by getting an 8 month old puppy!

William is actually a very good puppy, thank The Lord! He is potty trained and knows how to sit on command, thanks to my mom! He is good with the kids and he fits right in! He even spins like a Gerardo! If you know me personally you know that my husband dances and he, and all of my kids, love to spin. I don’t know, I don’t ask lol.

Anyway, we are excited to have him although we feel a little under qualified. I figure if I can manage to raise three/four children we can figure out how to raise a dog! Just another crazy boy added to our little crew living in our RV.

Life in The Sierra

Life in The Sierra

Sierra

We have been living in our RV full time for 6 months now. I thought leaving my 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house in New Mexico to travel with my husband was the craziest thing I would ever do. Never thought we would be living full time in an RV! Honestly though, I am happy in it. We have been traveling for 2 years and before we got the Sierra we would have to pack and unpack constantly, no fun! Now, we just pack up our home and head out! It’s so nice to have a space that is home wherever we go!

We made it through summer like a breeze and we are half way through our first winter and I have to say I’m impressed. Although, winter in Utah this year has been pretty mild, we have had some cold nights and snowy days. I am so glad we opted for the large bunkhouse for the kids! Believe it or not, we are comfortable. We have plenty of room, except Juliet. She is my 11 year old hoarder of sentimental objects and collector of everything you could possibly collect. She is having some adjustment issues, but she will figure it out lol.

If you have ever considered spending some time traveling in an RV, I definitely recommend you do it at some point in your life. Although I do miss my house, I have learned that my home is wherever my crazy family is, and now we have a place to take with us!
